Domain Rank In the Fortune 10

Using the Ahrefs toolbar for the Fortune 10, I recorded the Domain Rank, number of backlinks, and the number of domains for each member of the group.

Company - Domain Rank - # of Backlinks - # of Referring Domains

Walmart 77 13 million 85000
ExxonMobil 69 845000 2100
Cheron 68 521000 12000
Berkshire Hathaway 66 304000 9200
Apple 91 87 million 559000
Phillips 66 62 60000 1700
General Motors 72 1.2 million 24000
Ford 75 1.3 million 38000
General Electric 72 3.7 million 30000

Apple tops the list with a Domain rank of 91, and you can see easily why with 87 million backlinks and 559,000 domains linking to the company's website.

Fortune 500
I resorted the list by the highest domain rank first. Interesting to see GM and GE come out at 72 domain rank, but general electric has 3.7 million backlinks and more domains than General Motors, I wonder if GE has a Penguin problem?

As there are 3 energy companies in the top ten, I thought I'd delve a little deeper into that market place. If you conduct a relation:www.domain.com search on Google Search, you'll find any similar websites to the website you are researching.

Philips 66 has 46 results.

Chevron also had 46 results

And I wasn't able to pull anything on ExxonMobil
