Email Benchmark Reports

I was recently looking for some up-to-date email benchmark reports and found the following from various sources:

MailChimp
MailerMailer
Direct Marketing Association
Epsilon

Interesting to see open rates go up during the recession, I wonder if that's partly because email marketers are doing a better job of optimizing their campaigns?
