Does Content Marketing & Inbound Marketing Represent The Limits Of Social Media?

Inbound marketing and content marketing have fast become marketing buzz words in the industry.

Yet, I think that while companies and organizations have understood the idea that creating content is important, I'm not convinced organizations understand the importance of building a work flow process and infrastructure for engagement and outreach.

Content marketing and inbound marketing works without outreach, but will companies explore the opportunities that exist with further engagement? Or have we reached the limits of what organizations are prepared to do with social media?  While a few companies will attempt engagement through outreach, most will not because of time and the resources needed.
