Assessing Social Media Within Companies

In parallel to my work with the project to support the Fortune 500 Business Blogging wiki I’ve been thinking about additional questions I’d like to ask companies that are using social media for outreach. Here’s a list of potential questions I’d ask social media marketing managers who are running conversational marketing for a company.

What resources do you have in-house, the process, tools you use, and how you measure individual posts, if you are monitoring social media, and how you tie individual posts into overall strategy. Also which social media technologies do you monitor?

In addition does your company have a social media training program for employees separate from any social media marketing or outreach you are doing? And is social media affecting any other operational or cultural changes within your company?
