Shel's Icing On The Cake
December 11, 2007
Shel Israel's presentation at the Society for New Communications was the icing on the cake of an excellent Symposium last week in Boston. Shel was commissioned by SAP to conduct interviews with people all around the world who are using social media to connect with their wider community. He wrote a report for SAP, which he is currently republishing on his blog. His presentation was inspiring, funny, and packed full of examples. Just the right touch to send the conference participants off with zest in their hearts for social media.
I asked Shel a question about how he puts together a good interview. His tips included; start with soft questions about a person's background, do lots of background research on the interviewee so that the interview questions are very relevant and not just run of the mill.
