InfoWorld Drops Print Version
March 27, 2007
Steve Fox, Editor in Chief at InfoWorld reports on the demise of the magazine's print version after 29 years as a print publication in favor of Internet only content. Steve asks the conversation to begin with his readers. What I noticed reading the comment section of the article is that Steve does not engage his readers by answering questions. Maybe it’s only been a few days. But one suggestion I have for any traditional media publication is to engage your readers in a dialogue on your own publication and out on the reader’s websites. I'd like to know what the economics of the print publication were compared to the online version. Was the print version of InfoWorld still making money? However, I decided not to post this question on the comment section of Steve's article because he has not answered a single question yet.
Thanks Greg
