Boston Product Management Panel on Blogging
September 22, 2005
I am putting together a proposal for the local Boston product manager’s association, and I’ve been thinking a lot about product managers, what they do, and how blogging can help them to do their job. Many product managers just focus on taking input from customers and giving that input to their technical teams. Other’s, especially in smaller companies have a dual role, some marketing function even business development by providing a higher level of support to customers directly. But overall, all product managers are really concerned with building a viable product or service for a customer and a business, an effective business model if you will.
How do you define what a product manager does, and how do you think a blog can help product management?
