Monday night I helped launch the first Greensboro Social Media Club meeting at Tex & Shirleys at the Friendly center, here's the eventbrite listing. Nathan Gilliatt, Alicia Miller and I spoke.
Nathan is a long time colleague on social media and is a world reknown expert on social media monitoring, Nathan talked about listening. Alicia is a colleague at my company Pace Communications, a custom publishing and content marketing agency, and she covered the topic of publishing a blog series, and how to develop content from many employees. I spoke about social media strategy and also corporate social media business models. The event was well attended with 30-40 people.
The club needs more help, we need more volunteers, more exciting locations, and great speaker, if you are enjoy social media and want to see the scene grow there in Greensboro, contact the team for more details.
