Vandelay Design's Take On SEO & SMO

Vandelay Design's post about SEO vs. SEMO discusses whether implementing Social Media Optimization (SMO) may adversely affect your SEO results and vise versa. The post also discusses the benefits of SEO and SMO and compares the two disciplines. The benefits of SEO are steady traffic; while SMO can provide a lot of traffic SMO produced traffic is not always as reliable compared to a well-run SEO effort. The article provides a side-by-side comparison of SEO and SMO on each element of website development and online marketing promotion. The comparison builds a convincing argument for using SEO and SMO jointly. Where SEO work sometimes focused on developing a website for a search engine, though many SEO people also ask web masters to remember the final purpose of the website is to convert people to the action you want them to take. SMO is focused on the design of the content for the reader rather than a search engine. The two strategies working together address both search engines and the reader.
