As a Research Fellow with the Society for New Communications research I am involved with a research study to investigate how our conceptions of media and influence are evolving, how the role of PR is being redefined and what new skills are needed.
The research study titled "New Media, New Influencers and Implications for the PR Profession," will explore the impact of Web 2.0 and social media tools on communications and the public relations profession. The research findings will be shared at the Society for New Communications Research Symposium, which will be held December 5-6 in Boston. The event will be sponsored in part by the Institute for Public Relations and Wieck Media.
So if you are interested in taking part in the study. There are three ways to get involved, one take an online survey, two, encourage your readers to take a consumer of new media survey, and three we’d conduct a recorded interview for a potential case study to be featured in the published findings, if interested in the interview please email at jcass AT nwlink DOT com
