Josh Bernoff’s Take On Social Media

My third and final post about the Boston Social Media Club event last night, I thought Josh Bernoff got the prize for answering the session's question about lessons learned from social media. He did a fine job, and I thought Mark McClennan's post provided a good overview of what Josh had to say.

"Josh Bernoff’s advice to companies planning to engage the blogosphere (POST):

P Profile (who are you trying to reach)
O Objectives (What do you want to do?)
S Strategy
T Technology (How do you want to do it?)."

Mark as President of the Boston PRSA writes about PR, social media and the PRSA. Watch out for the PRSA's next event on Tuesday next week, its all about measurement.

  • Blogging is all about starting a conversation with another individual. I don't mind if someone from a company posts useful and relevant information on my blog. But that information has to be within the context of an existing conversation. I reserve the right to delete or edit content and links from comments on this blog if I think you are just making a sales pitch or trying to increase your SEO standing.
