Blogging Effects on Society

A great presentation on blogging and their effects on society and corporations from David Weinberger and Richard Edelman, David’s presentation discusses the idea that over the last one hundred years company’s functioned by controlling information and restricting its access to customers.  David suggests with the web that customer’s actually know more than companies, mainly because customers actually use the products and talk to one another about the products they use, and that the changed dynamic has huge implications for you, companies and society. Loic Le Meur’s blog has the podcast.

Guidelines

  • Blogging is all about starting a conversation with another individual. I don't mind if someone from a company posts useful and relevant information on my blog. But that information has to be within the context of an existing conversation. I reserve the right to delete or edit content and links from comments on this blog if I think you are just making a sales pitch or trying to increase your SEO standing.
